Keep Jeans Looking Like New
Extend the life of your jeans and keep them looking new with these tips.
One of the best as well as easiest things you can do to protect your jeans in the laundry is to turn them inside out before washing.
When possible, use cold water to wash your jeans along with a small amount of vinegar added to the rinse cycle instead of fabric softener. The cold cycle is much easier on your blue jeans and helps to prevent fading. The vinegar is an added touch to preserve the color.
Another way to preserve the color of your jeans is to buy a detergent for dark colors such as Woolite Dark Laundry Fabric Wash. This detergent is made especially to help preserve dark colors and works very well for blue jeans.

if you add a cup of salt to the water on your FIRST wash it will keep your jeans like new. Alternatively you add 2 tablespoons to a gallon of water in the tub and soak for an hour. I would use my washer to soak with a cup of salt per load…..one new pair of jeans and then get rid of the water after an hour of soaking and wash inside out ALWAYS AND AIR DRY!!! Fluff in dryer and iron them for a great look….not with seams people!!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your tip.
I hadn’t heard of doing that and will give it a try. Thanks again!
